Raw Materials

Sustainable Advanced Material provides research, development, and testing supplies for society in raw materials. Masterbatch is one of the most common and high-quality raw materials that can be used for producing sustainable products. All of the raw materials for making degradable surgical mask have passed ASTM F2100-20 Level 1 conducted by STC, fulfilling the requirements for recycling and reusing.

Semi-manufactured Goods

Foreign-imported raw material is used by Sustainable Advanced Material for producing melt-blown fabric, adhesive bonded fabric or spunbond. These semi-manufactured goods have the advantages of good filtration performance and being non-toxic, which can help to protect the environment.

Finished Products

Sustainable Advanced Material will also supply the finished products, which are made from our raw materials and semi-manufactured goods. Instead of focusing on making surgical masks during the breakthrough of COVID-19, the melt blown cloth and adhesive bonded fabric can also be applied to diapers, sanitary napkins, medical cloths, etc.

The products passed the STC testing report, and their “Bacterial Filtration Efficiency” (BFE) and “Particulate Filtration Efficiency” (PFE) are both over 99%. The manufactured products can also reach ASTM Level 3.

Introduction of BDA-23001

Biodegradable Solid icon

Oxo-biodegradation is a process of plastic degradation utilizing oxidation to reduce the molecular weight of plastic, rendering the material accessible to bacterial and fungal decomposition.

Pending icon

Our additive, BDA-23001, is a biodegradable additive for plastics. It can shorten the period of time that would be necessary to naturally decompose the plastics. BDA-23001 is applicable to Melt blown fabric, Spun bond fabric and other materials.

Our Cert

Our BIODEGRADABLE MEDICAL FACE MASK with BDA-23001 additive has been tested under standard ASTM D5511. This test method covers the determination of the degree and rate of anaerobic biodegradation of plastic materials in high-solids anaerobic conditions.

The test materials are exposed to a methanogenic inoculum derived from anaerobic digesters operating only on pretreated household waste. The anaerobic decomposition takes place under high-solids (more than 30 % total solids) and static non-mixed conditions. This test method is designed to yield a percentage of conversion of carbon in the sample to carbon in the gaseous form under conditions found in high-solids anaerobic digesters, treating municipal solid waste.

After 45 days of incubation, the level of biodegradation for the Positive control was 91.30% while OUR BIODEGRADABLE MEDICAL FACE MASK Sample showed 6.33 %.

Intertek

Green Leaf Mark

Our BIODEGRADABLE MEDICAL FACE MASK with BDA-23001 obtained the Intertek Green Leaf Mark, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability and producing high-quality, environmentally friendly products.

The Intertek Green Leaf Mark is a recognized consumer product and systems verification that validates our environmental claims. It assures our customers that our product's environmental claims have been independently verified by an international, independent third-party testing, auditing, and certification body.

Our product has undergone testing by the ASTMD5511-18 standard. The biodegradation rate of our face mask was tested over 45 days, resulting in a 6.33% biodegradation rate. Our mask is designed to break down naturally and reduce its environmental impact.
